In February YSL launched their brand new Rouge Volupte Shine Oil in Stick range and I’m very excited to share swatches and my review with you today! YSL Rose Loulou (124) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick (.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium pink with warmer undertones and a luminous sheen. It had medium, buildable pigmentation–up to semi-opaque coverage–that adhered evenly and smoothly across my lips.
The new Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Sticks are super hydrating and add a lush coat of moisture on the lips while adding a nice tint of color. They have noticeable coverage even though the pigment is sheerer than an opaque formula. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick Lipstick is an oil-infused lipstick that resides somewhere between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm, and the formula imparts a gorgeous wash of color and shine while hydrating your lips. Here's YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick in 43 Rose Rive Gauche on my lips and you can zoom to see that it clings to all the dryness on my lips and looks patchy and my darker lips can be seen through it. Not a great look for me. I have a couple of the famed YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick lipsticks, so I’d just quickly share some thoughts with you. For the record, have also tried Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks (square packaging) but I’m not a fan of those – too drying.
