I don't know if it lasts longer. The real test for lume is to check it after several hours, in total darkness, when your eyes are adjusted to the dark - say, in the middle of the night on your nightstand.
About 30 seconds later, it's dull. There is a good reason why Rolex lume is weak- it looks better during the daytime. If you've owned a Seiko with great lume it is bad in the late afternoon or out to dinner, you can see a green glow and it throws off a steel watch with a grey dial, just looks bad.
